When Her Soldier Son Died, This Mother Grieved...And Then Did The Sweetest Thing

There's nothing worse for a mother with children in the military than the thought of losing her son or daughter in combat. Such a tragedy is always a risk when their kids go into the armed forces, and it sadly happens on occasion.

Yet when Lisa Freeman's son was killed in combat in Afghanistan, she didn't want to dwell on his death and keep her mind in a dark place. Instead, she opted to do something productive that would forever change her world and the lives of others.

She started sewing.

What a touching way to honor her son. I'm sure that everyone around Lisa is proud of the progress she made since her devastating loss. Know that if you are a mother out there who lost a child to combat, you are not alone.
